We also learn some paper piecing, pin weaving, and crocheting a lacy yarn. I plan to make a small Christmas wall hanging and a scarf. That's all for now check back with you very soon!
I said to myself," are you kidding me, I know I have been busy at work, but this is ridiculous'. this blog was and is a way to keep me sane, and give a history of what I am sewing, I have been sewing and crafting for the last two years and I haven't shared much, so I gonna make myself a promise to blog at least one a month just to show history and what I have learned, Wish me Luck!
Its' been quite a long time since I have written a post on my blog, I must say this year I have been busy working on several projects. I have never work on a quilt before, and since I am in the Sewing Guild I decide to attempt a mystery quilt in which we were given instructions this pass January, its been along lesson in understanding all the terms and techniques that go into quilting, the key thing that I have learned is how important squaring your blocks are and that 1/4 inch seam allowance. I still have a lot of work to do with this quilt, its still on my design board and I am working on how to make the this scrappy look work on this mystery quilt. I have been busy making aprons, I love aprons, I done a few for Shawnees Flirty Apron Swap, and make an apron out of cut denim in legs from this mystery bag apron challenge this pass April, that was a lot of fun!
So I am going to make a list, ( I wonder how long that gonna take me)............anyway I need help, so if and when I get few follower's, please ask me about my list and challenge me to finish! When we first walked in to the shop we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the fabrics and the Quilts. Amazing colors and textures of cotton and silk fabrics. I am proud member of the American Sewing Guild, so the chapter that I am in planned this trip, the Guild has ladies with all type of experience in sewing, quilting knitting and many from of crafting, some of the members along with me are working on a mystery quilt, so going to Creations was the best today.Beadgirlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01820160593416048469noreply@blogger.com0
